For Your Consideration - LAMMYS 2013

One of the smartest things I ever did with this silly blogging endeavor was to join The Lamb. There, I have become friends with some really cool people who have some really cool blogs (all of which you should check out). In our invisible community, I'm essentially the village idiot, rambling about God knows what (likely breasts) when I should be talking about the 'film' at hand. For some reason however, a few of these fine folks consider Two Dollar Cinema worth being considered for an annual blogging award. Nuts, right? I'm thinking auto-fill got the best of them as they were likely typing three entirely different words. With what is probably an extreme lapse in judgement, I would like to give a tip of the cap to all (okay, both) of you that support this site. Despite my constant jackassery, I endlessly appreciate it.

Speaking of people I have the utmost gratitude for, I'd like to take a quick second to thank my wife for whipping this together. What took her twenty minutes, likely would have taken me ten times that. And, I likely would have given up and just cut an pasted an actual dollar.

To my screen.

  1. I would have nominated for you, but someone beat me to it right away. Can't say you would of done the same, but it's cool bro.

Honestly though, you deserve more recognition amongst the blogging community. Definitely the funniest LAMB.

    1. Ouch. You know, I would have nominated you for funniest writer as well, but being that I can't FOLLOW your blog, I don't visit nearly as much as I should. Another example of my infinite laziness burns me yet again.

Very cool of you to say. I think our/your plan (shhh...) could develop into something awesome. You know, if we actually do it, of course.

  2. You say "village idiot" and "jackassery" like those are bad things. ;-)

Seriously, that is an outstanding banner. Kudos to your wonderful wife. And congratulations to you on three very well deserved nominations. You know TDC is on my short list of favorites.

    1. Thanks, Steph. I felt silly making a banner, but I wanted to at least acknowledge the good people that submitted me. But overall, my feelings are pretty much exactly yours. No chance of winning, really, simply very happy to be a part of the community.

I let my wife know. She appreciated the compliment!

    1. Thanks, man. Once I finish my Retaliation post, I'll check out yours. I have a feeling from your headline...we completely agree.

  7. I haven't had the chance to see Retaliation. There is a huge mess going on among the cinema owners and the greek department of UIP International who distributes the movie here. The premiere was scheduled at 4/4 but seems that the movie is not gonna hit the theaters, all this in a country/market that had the G.I Joe aka Action Force in Europe, toyline on the number 1 spot in sales for years!

That's why my post talks about a mess. Dont know if the movie is a mess, but thanks to the distributors and the cinema owners (dont know who is telling the truth about it) seems that i will find out when the blu-ray hits Amazon...

    1. Well, even though I've forgotten most of it already (it's been a week), in my opinion, it's not so good.
